Carlisle Racecourse is situated at Blackwell on the outskirts of the historic, Borders city of Carlisle in Cumbria. Set in open countryside, the undulating course provides high quality racing every month of the year staging eleven national hunt meetings from September to April and nine flat meetings between April and August. Among the many highlights are the Christmas and Easter National Hunt fixtures, the prestigious two-day June flat meeting at which the historic Carlisle Bell and Cumberland Plate races are run, and the popular summer race nights.
