St Bees Head marks the westernmost point of Cumbria and is the official start of the Coast to Coast long-distance path.
The area also offers superb, exhilarating coastal walking for the day walker. The cliffs around St Bees Head were once extremely dangerous to ships and the striking round lighthouse was manned until 1987. St Bees Head is home to one of the largest cliff seabird colonies in England and is an RSPB reserve. |
